ABOUT
Small ideas. Real things.
Volucore is a set of design tools that run in your browser and turn a name, a word or a shape into a file your 3D printer can make. There is nothing to install and no CAD skills to learn: you choose the details, you see the result, and you download print-ready files.
What we make
A name becomes a sign with channels sized for your LED neon strip, split into numbered pieces that fit your printer.
Light-up channel letters with walls, a diffuser lid, wire holes and an LED fit check.
Table lamps from 58 shapes, with the lampholder opening and cable path kept correct.
Names and icons inlaid in a letter or shape, as a multicolor file that opens already painted in your slicer.
Articulated name keychains whose letters move on captive joints.
Letter beads and charms to thread on a cord, in multicolor.
How the tools work
Each tool builds your design from real measurements in millimetres, shows it to you live, and creates the printable files only when you download. Fonts and artwork you upload stay on your device; only the outlines needed for the file are sent to build it. The details are in our privacy notice.
Downloads are free every month with a Google or email account, and paid plans give more downloads and the right to sell what you print. See pricing for the current plans.
How we write our guides
The guides are written by the team that builds the tools, and each one is checked against what the tool actually does at the time we publish it: the settings, defaults and limits you read about are the ones you will see on screen. Where we give advice that depends on your printer, filament or LED strip, we say so, and we point you to a small test print before the big one.
- Every guide shows when it was last updated, and we revise it when a tool changes.
- We do not publish advice we cannot back with how the tool behaves or with widely accepted 3D-printing practice.
- Electrical and safety topics (power supplies, lamps) come with clear limits and a reminder to use certified parts and have mains work done by a qualified person.
- If you find a mistake, tell us. We correct it and note the date.
